 The Leather Makers

Each bag in the NIXEY collection takes inspiration from the Celtic sporran accessory. Championing the traditions of the British Isles & the skills of Scotland, each bag is beautifully crafted by sporran makers in a workshop near the Highlands.

It takes time, precision and passion to create every NIXEY – from cutting and sewing the leather to hand-fitting more than 30 metal components.

Our original collection, The 1834, is named in honour of the master craftspeople who handmake each piece. Their workshop has a manufacturing history, which extends all the way back to 1834. This rich heritage is cut & stitched into every bag.

Blending modern techniques with the workshop's long, illustrious history, each NIXEY bag is seeped in quality & tradition.

The edging of each of our bags is finished with s soft leather trim. Watch Liam in the workshop stitching this trim onto our 1834 Raven Black bag.

The Silver Maker

The Celtic Tree Zodiac jewellery collection is made by the founder of NIXEY, Laura;

During the Covid lockdown, along with a large cohort of the UK population, I took up painting. What started out as little nature studies of leaves to keep me sane during those unprecedented times, developed into jewellery making. From there, NIXEY’s first jewellery collection inspired by Celtic Tree Astrology was created.

Now, I hand make each fine silver pendant from my home in Brighton.
